Software as a Service (SaaS) delivers a scalable, platform-independent interface to power the sharing of information over EDI networks.

Convert EDI provides on-demand Software as a Service (SaaS) to deliver a scalable, platform-independent interface infrastructure to power the sharing of information over EDI networks.

Capture

Documents such as Orders and Invoices are easily captured via a web interface, csv/xml import or in EDI format from a Value Added Network (VAN). Document capture can be customised to suit requirements, most standard file formats are supported and bespoke file formats can be mapped for integration with internal systems.

Verification

Data validation and business rules ensure that any errors are trapped, corrected or reported to ensure only clean data is processed in order to minimise human-intervention. Usual safeguards include checking mandatory fields, fields are in the correct format and dates are checked (i.e. order date must be for invoice date, invoice date must not be in the future, disallow negative invoice values as this would effectively be a credit note).

Translation

Files are translated in Tradacoms or Edifact file formats according to each Trading Partners' unique Message Implementation Guideline (MIG). Further field mapping takes place as part of a testing process with each Trading Partner in order for accounts to 'Go Live'.

Delivery

EDI Documents are securely delivered via a Value Added Network (VAN) and interconnects are used where necessary for delivery across VANs. Secure FTP (sFTP) is also used with some Trading Partners to further reduce the transmission costs.
